Beaded Artwork, Greenland; Seasonal Pattern in White Frame

Greenlandic artwork and traditional clothing are colorful and unique.  Colorful glass beads, brought by European missionaries to Greenland, became a traditional craft.  This traditional women’s costume includes a beaded collar that covers the neck and the shoulders.  Beadwork is used to create ethnic jewelry and decorative objects.  The selected Beaded Artwork, handmade by Inuit women, features a seasonal pattern in a white frame.
