Reindeers

The Reindeer is native to the Arctic regions in Northern Europe, Northern Russia and North America. The Reindeer has beautiful antlers, large and heavy with several branches. The Reindeer’s coat shows a variety of colors. It becomes slightly darker in the winter and lightens in the summer. The reindeer’s nose serves many functions, including finding food under the snow and finding directions. The unique hooves improve movement on the snow-covered terrain. Reindeers adapted to the cold northern landscapes, feeding on grasses, mosses, shrubs and herbs. Being highly intelligent animals, reindeers understand and respond to human communication. They are free roaming animals, emblematic to the northernmost regions of the world.
