The Maldives, an island country in the Indian Ocean, is comprised of 26 natural atolls. There are over 1,100 small islands and isolated reefs enclosed in the atolls. The Ari Atoll consists of the South Ari Atoll and the North Ari Atoll, the location of the country’s capital city of Male. The Maldives is a world-class destination with luxury resorts situated on remote tropical islands. The magical getaways offer idyllic beaches, azure ocean and breathtaking scenery. Snorkeling Adventures

Maldives is a tapestry of unspoiled nature. A short distance from the shorelines are the most beautiful coral gardens. We spend hours exploring the brightly-colored coral formations. We encounter a lemon shark resting on the seabed, partially hidden by the corals, showing a bite mark on its tail. It feels heavenly to swim along the sea turtles and manta rays. The next day, we enjoy snorkeling at sunrise, a very special experience. The weather is perfect, the waters are calm and the sunlight is abundant. We swim leisurely, admiring the underwater tranquility. We marvel at the diverse corals and beautiful sea creatures.

A dazzling underwater world is filled with brightly colored schools of fish, a few sea turtles and a blacktip reef shark. Our evening excursion comprises a thrilling night snorkeling. It is a serene evening with a star-filled sky. Snorkeling in the dark feels a little intimidating but we are within close view of the shoreline. The darkness of the waters reveals wonderful creatures, such as lobsters, shrimps and the fast-swimming squid, attracted to our headlights. Night snorkeling is a blissful adventure, full of surprises.
